1. After reinstalling the interchangeable hotend, do I need to recalibrate the nozzle height?
A: Recalibrate the nozzle height when you:
1. Exchange the left interchangeable hotend with the right one;
2. Replace a new hotend or replace different temperature hotends;
3. Replace the component on the extruder, such as the heat sink, the nozzle, and the throat tube;
2. What are the common causes for jamming?
A: Possible causes of jamming during printing include:
1. The temperature of the extruder is not hot enough during printing, causing the filament to fail and melt completely.
2. The filament is over-heated to be carbonized and blocks the nozzle.
3. The temperature of the extruder is too high, causing the filament to melt in the throat tube, blocking the nozzle.
4. The throat tube is leaking.
5. The first layer is too close to the build plate.
6. The quality of the filament is poor, with more impurities and the filaments are entangled.
7. Filaments are inconsistent in diameter and the error exceeds +/- 0.04mm.
8. Filaments are not dry enough. Please take extra care of moisture-prone filaments, such as nylon.
9. Filaments will become easily brittle and crack if they are stored for too long.
10. Filaments have insufficient rigidity and can easily jam at the extruder gears.
3. Can I Change The Printer Language To Our Own Language?
A: Yes, contact support( support@3dmingda.com ) to get the language pack and download into SD card, insert the SD card, refresh the printer is OK.
4. How to calibrate the XY offsets?
First click Menu-Home-Home and wait for the machine to reset.
Then take a piece of A4 paper and put it between the nozzle and the hot bed, and click Menu-Set Nozzle-Z Align
on the screen. The default calibration is T0 extruder (left extruder) extruder heat bed starts to move until it stops. Move the A4 paper by hand, and adjust the Down and Up keys on the screen until the nozzle can scrape the A4 paper. Calibration of the left extruder is complete.
Click the T0 button on the screen to switch the T1 extruder (the right extruder), and the right extruder will move to the middle position. Adjust the Z-offset to an appropriate distance in the same way.
Click the Save button to save the settings
5. How to print with Duplication or Mirror Mode?
A: For the printing details please refer to the manual Page23
6. How to turn off the filament detector function?
A: Click Menu-Settings-Feature-Filament sensor-ON/Off
7. How to make the first layer stick on bed properly?
A: 1. The calibration is important before printing. Please follow the calibration process first.
2.During printing, you can adjust the babystep when it is start printing the first layer to a proper height. Here is a picture for your reference:
8. How to storage the industrial filament?
The industrial filaments are hydrophilic, meaning they easily absorb moisture in the air after long-term exposure, resulting in jamming or serious wire drawing problems. Here are some notes on drying and storage of PET-GF, PET-CF, PA12CF and so on support filament.
1. During printing the industrial grade filaments, please put it in a dry box.
2. And after finishing printing, the filaments should be storage in the dry baker.
3. Filament that is not used for a long time can be temporarily stored in the dry box.
